WEDISTRICT is an EU-funded project that brings together 21 partners from across Europe.

The purpose of the project is to demonstrate innovative 100% fossil-free heating and cooling solutions for both new and existing district heating and cooling systems. These solutions will integrate: 1) Multiple renewable energy sources and excess heat from data centers, 2) Advanced thermal energy storage to redistribute heat to buildings as needed, 3) Smart technologies to increase the operational efficiency of the systems. Aalborg CSP’s scope

Aalborg is the main integrator of solar technologies within the project. Additionally, Aalborg contributes to the simulation models of the virtual demos - especially those related to the integration of solar energy.
