Aalborg CSP’s Integrated Energy Systems (IES) department was hired by a Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) technology owner who received an order for a pilot system at a destination in Saudi Arabia.
The purpose of the pilot system was to determine the potential and feasibility of using the client’s solar collector system in a desalination system.
Aalborg CSP’s scope
Aalborg CSP is the engineering provider of the Balance-of-Plant (BoP), P&ID, technical specifications, and dimensioning of the sub-system. The company is furthermore responsible for the engineering related to the system integration design and the CSP system. The engineering assistance provided by Aalborg CSP has supported the client in reaching the procurement stage. The client is now ready to purchase the valves, instruments, pumps, storages tanks, etc. included in the BoP scope.
