From 2009 to 2011 Aalborg CSP has developed and supplied 5 x 50MWe steam generating systems for concentrated solar powered parabolic trough plants in Spain.
In 2008, Aalborg CSP designed and supplied a complete solar tower receiver system for production of saturated steam. The main advantage of the system is that the steam is heated directly without any kind of heat transfer fluid.
In 2008, Aalborg CSP designed and supplied a solar tower receiver system able to superheat steam at high temperature and pressure.
For power production superheated steam is superior since it raises the efficiency of the turbine significantly.
